In a list of ten ten things that the successful people surveyed for this Forbes article do on weekends, the one most germane to this blog is: they disconnect. Specifically, they disconnect from work; even more specifically, they disconnect from e-mail. In a sense, disconnection is the theme that unites all ten things -- taking time away from the heads-down career scramble to relax, change perspectives and moods, and reflect on important issues. The things that become hard to change or even acknowledge when you're down in the trenches. Like, am I even scrambling in the right direction?
